The trip from Enid to Waynoka is about 70 miles and 1 hr 15 min. Follow US-412 W through Lahoma and Orienta, then take US-281 N into Waynoka. An alternate route follows OK-45 W through Carrier, Helena and Carmen to US-281 N. Gloss Mountain State Park near Orienta and Fairview makes an optional scenic stop. In Waynoka, rentals may use town streets except the main highway and Sahara Drive; take the sand trail to the park.
Garfield County’s broad fields and dirt roads give way at Little Sahara State Park to 1,600 acres of shifting sand, with dunes rising up to 75 feet. A Polaris RZR side-by-side gives your group room to ride together across the open terrain. The fleet includes two- and four-seat models, with helmets and goggles provided.
At about 1 hr 15 min away, Enid riders can plan a morning departure and spend the day at the dunes. For a longer visit, Waynoka has nearby lodging and the park offers camping. Call 1-580-448-0303 to ask about longer rentals and group plans.
